This year marks the 45th anniversary of THE EXTERMINATOR, one of the most violent and controversial movies released in 1980. This grisly slice of exploitation cinema from James Glickenhaus, which features a Vietnam veteran (Robert Ginty) taking the law into his own hands after his best friend is brutally attacked and left paralysed, will be presented completely uncut as the filmmaker intended. After the screening of THE EXTERMINATOR, Senior Lecturer at University of Lincoln Neil Jackson (who has written for such publications as Sight & Sound and Video Watchdog) will join Triskel’s Head of Cinema Chris O’Neill to discuss the film, the ‘Namploitation’ genre, and other movies from the director.
